On the 15th of March, 2013, Gonzalez agreed to re-sign with the Falcons for a two-year 14 million-dollar contract, despite his claim that Gonzalez would retire following the 2013 season. Randy Moss' retirement meant that Gonzalez was the league's top player of receiving yards in his final season.
